Terms and Conditions of Hire

  1. This contract and its contents form an agreement between The Erpyngham Retinue and the client and should be returned within 30 days of receipt, together with a minimum deposit of 25% of the agreed fee.  
  2. Providing you are an approved credit account customer with The Erpyngham Retinue any invoices must be paid within the specified time (this will be noted on the invoice). Please make all cheques payable to Mr. C. M. Skinner.

If the client is not an approved credit account customer with The Erpyngham Retinue not withstanding any other provisions in this agreement, the following shall apply.

    1. Full payment of the known cost must be received no later than fourteen days before the function.
    2. The client must pay any additional cost incurred by The Erpyngham Retinue and not taken into account in the calculation of the total charge no later than seven days after the function.

  1. All quotations shall be guaranteed for upto sixty days from the date of this agreement. The Erpyngham Retinue, reserve the right to review the quotation during that time.
  2. If the conditions concerning payment of deposits, interim payments or full payments by the client are not upheld, The Erpyngham Retinue reserve the right to cancel the event, by informing the client in writing to the address indicated.
  3. Please note in the event of any cancellation, either by the client or by The Erpyngham Retinue, the following charges in relation to loss of total revenue will apply.
  4. a) Cancellation within four months notice of event No charge

    b) Cancellation within three months notice of event 25% of total revenue

    c) Cancellation within two months notice of event 50% of total revenue

    d) Cancellation within one months notice of event 75% of total revenue

    e) Cancellation within 7-14 days notice of event 85% of total revenue

    f) Cancellation within less than seven days notice of event FULL CONTRACT PRICE

  5. The Erpyngham Retinue shall not be liable for any loss or damage to the property of the client or any such person as may so occur.
  6. In the case of loss or damage to the property, it shall be reported to and noted by The Erpyngham Retinue at the time of discovery thereof and reported to the police within twenty-four hours.

  7. The client shall indemnify The Erpyngham Retinue from any loss or damage caused to any part of their equipment in any situation which may arise as a result of the special event or property introduced by the client or any such persons.
  8. The client will always comply with the statutory laws concerning licensing and entertainment provisions relevant to the event.
  9. The event shall terminate at the time agreed; an addition charge may be made at the discretion of The Erpyngham Retinue for any overrun. This may be negotiated locally, previous terms of payment to apply as per section 2b.
  10. It is at the discretion of The Erpyngham Retinue, that should at the time of the event any conditions be unsafe, there may be cancellation of the event without forfeit of any revenue due.
